Who processes data for us
We use these service providers (processors), each bound by a data processing agreement and only allowed to use the data to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare (website hosting, security, storage of signups and listing submissions, and email forwarding for [email protected]).
- MailerLite (sending the weekly email; based in the EU).
- Stripe (card payments; Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Dublin). Stripe is also an independent controller for some data, e.g. fraud prevention; see stripe.com/privacy.
We do not share your data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
Transfers outside the EU
Some providers (Cloudflare, Stripe and their sub-processors) may process data in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time (this doesn't affect anything done before you withdrew). Email [email protected] and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission: www.dataprotection.ie, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
Children
The weekly email and paid listings are not aimed at children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above.
Terms for listings & paid services
- Free listings. Listing an event is free. We may edit or decline any listing, and we aren't responsible for event details supplied by organisers. Please check with the organiser before you travel.
- Featured events (€10) are highlighted on the site for the event's run-up, until the event date.
- Local business listings (€15/month or €120/year) and Headline sponsorship (€50/month for the first 6 months, then €75/month) run for the period paid. Monthly plans renew automatically until cancelled; cancel any time by emailing us, effective at the end of the current period.
- Payment is by card through Stripe. Prices include any applicable taxes.
- Content. You confirm you have the right to any text, logos or images you send us and that they're accurate and lawful. We may remove content that is misleading, offensive or unlawful; if we remove a paid listing for reasons other than a breach of these terms, we'll refund the unused part.
- Refunds. If we can't publish a paid listing, you'll get a full refund. Because publication starts straight away at your request, the 14-day cancellation period ends once your listing is live.
- Liability. We do our best to keep the site running and accurate, but can't guarantee results, visitor numbers or uninterrupted service. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
- These terms are governed by Irish law. Questions: [email protected].
